Inspired by the promise of opportunity as he passed the Statue of Liberty, Sam built his American dream from the ground up — starting with flour, water, and a small family bakery in New York.

Ac wasn’t completely running at 100%
My husband and I visited this bagel shop on a recent Saturday and were genuinely impressed by the quality of the food. The bagels were absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. We also tried a few pastries, which were beautifully prepared and incredibly satisfying. You can tell a lot of attention goes into the baking here.
However, there are a couple of areas that could use some improvement. We ordered a mocha frappe, and unfortunately, it was a letdown. It tasted more like chocolate milk—completely melted and not blended at all. For a specialty drink, it just didn’t hit the mark.
Additionally, the ordering process could use a bit more structure. From bagels to pastries to drinks, it wasn’t clear who was handling what, and with multiple staff members behind the counter, it caused some confusion and delays. A bit more coordination and clear roles could streamline the ordering process to help with a faster checkout.

Good bagels, for WV. Needs hot sauce and mac salad
This is my family’s new favorite place! Everything is so delicious, and everyone is so friendly.

Native New Yorker here. Moved down to WV about a year ago and the 2 things i miss the most food wise is a good bagel and good pizza. This place hit the nail on the head on the first one. Had a bagel and lox platter, the nova was fresh, the bagel was spot on, cream cheese was absolutely home made. They even had capers which is a must. Service was great with a friendly staff and a trendy vibe, took a half dozen to go. Its about a 30 minute drive for me, but well worth it. Will be back again soon. Wish i could give more stars but you know google has its limits.
This is by far the best place I have been to in while. Definitely a hidden gem in WV that needs all the exposure they can get. Great bagels, breakfast sandwiches, coffee and the nicest group of people working. Thank you.
I had a veggie sandwich and bagels to go. Everything was yum! My advice: 1. Bring cash for tips – there’s no option to add one on a card. 2. To see if they have the cream cheese you want, look in the big tubs in the first case. 3. Have a backup in mind in case the bagel or cream cheese you want is out. (I came after 1 on Saturday, so it makes sense that some stuff was out. ) 4. Be prepared that there are a LOT of choices of sweets and they all look great. You’ll need to make quick decisions to not hold up the line.
